村名取自驻地的顶寨自然村。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
1945年，村子隶属崎岭乡石寮保；1950年时划入第六区，乡名石寨乡；1951年改归新建第10区。1958年设顶寨大队，1984年改组为顶寨村委会。[2]
荣誉[edit]
福建省爱卫办授予顶寨村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号，时间为2021年11月；2024年6月，村子列入「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
崎岭乡概况称顶寨村为「省级乡村振兴示范村」，未注认定年份。[4]
