新建村是国强乡下辖的行政村，位于大芹山西北山麓，属革命老区基点村。[1]

解放前村庄被毁，此后多数房屋由政府拨款建成，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放后，1950年属第四区片仔乡；1945年为高坑乡片仔保。1958年成立新建大队，1984年改为新建村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

主要经济作物为平和琯溪蜜柚，村中还养猪。[1]

2025年3月，新建村被命名为「第七届全国文明村镇」。2023年9月，村里获认定为「漳州市2023年度市级一村一品专业村（茶叶）」。[1]
