地名由来[edit]
旧时土城村以东有一株槐树，村名由此而来。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
清代村境属桐皮保，归芦溪约管辖。1945年改属芦溪乡潭皮保，1950年设第七区东槐乡，1958年改称东槐大队，1984年改为东槐村委会，此名沿用至今。[2]
自然环境与产业[edit]
村内以水稻为主粮，经济作物有蜜柚、芥菜和茶叶，村中有叶蜡石矿山，并有叶蜡石雕刻。[2]
文化遗存[edit]
村中留有明代陈氏家庙、崇和寺等十余座古建筑，民俗活动包括农历十一月的「新婚男孙」灯会。[3]
明末官员陈扬美的圣旨亭等遗物曾存于崇和寺，陈扬美归葬于本村水朝宫。[4]
荣誉[edit]
2020年2月，东槐村列入福建省第三批省级传统村落名单；2021年11月，被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[2]
著名人物[edit]
陈扬美（1573～1641）是东槐村人，明末官员，崇祯十四年（1641年）病故于出巡任上。[4]
陈壁辉是东槐村人，民国十九年生，1954年毕业于厦门大学，之后任教于安徽师范大学，为动物学教授。[2]
