历史沿革[edit]
村部设在下新楼自然村，村名由此而来。[1]
1958年起属安厚公社，称下新楼大队；1984年改为下新楼村委会。1950年归第五区双马乡，1945年为平南乡马堂保。[1]
地理环境[edit]
全村面积3.56平方千米，水田760亩、山地2700亩。村东以一溪为界，与双马村相望；西侧接连马三村，南侧挨着大径村。[1]
