地名由来[edit]

村名取发扬民主之意。[1]

建置沿革[edit]

民主村原名浚心，1956年拆分后改称民主村。[1] 1958年，本村编入坂仔公社，称民主大队；1984年，改为民主村委会。[1]

概况[edit]

全村有14个村民小组，894户，3688人。[1] 村子与镇区相接，是农业村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

民主村入选「2021年福建省卫生村」，入选决定由福建省爱卫办作出，时在2021年11月。[1]
