法华村位于南胜镇南部，距镇政府2公里，占地3.8平方千米。[1]

村名的来历是：村子原叫人家，一位林姓人外出谋生时，父母赠他一盆花，嘱咐花开即在哪里定居，他到此地花开，便改名“发花”，因方言音近而写作法华。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村史：1934年归第三区法华乡；1939年设南胜镇时划为法华保；1950年仍由法华乡管辖；1958年以后为法华大队，1984年改设法华村委会。[1]

耕地1428亩，山地4004亩，全村辖10个村民小组、739户、2623人。[1]

2021年11月，该村获评「2021年福建省卫生村」；2022年10月，法华村入选「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」，认定单位是省农业农村厅；2024年6月，法华村列入「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]

2020年1月，法华村被认定为漳州市2020年度市级「一村一品」示范村，产品为美国红桃。[1]
