子坑村位于南胜镇西部，距镇政府9公里，旧称梨子坑村。[1][2]

村名源于此地曾盛产雪梨，且地面多细石、坑洼不平。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地先后隶属洋头乡（1934年）、梨洋乡（1950年，由洋头乡并入）；1958年组建子坑大队，1984年改为子坑村委会。[1]

地理环境与人口[edit]

村域面积6.6平方千米，耕地749亩，山地9129亩，辖6个村民小组、211户、733人（户籍人口）。村部在翻平组。[1][2]

经济[edit]

村民以种植蜜柚、淮山为主，并外出务工，博雅地名网记人均年收入6880元。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有大作山、城仔土楼和子坑水库，大作山海拔700余米。[2]
