铜中村在平和县山格镇境内，村名的来历与村委会驻地所在的位置有关，驻地处在村域中央[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名原作「铜头」，据说地下含有铜矿物质，后改称铜中[1]。1945年起此地属平东乡铜半保，1950年为第一区铜中乡；1958年成为山格公社下的铜中大队，1984年再改称村委会[1]。

2021年11月，本村获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号[1]。
