东大社区隶属于平和县小溪镇，属镇中心区[1][2]。社区地处东大街，名称取自街名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

社区历史上，1936年隶属琯溪镇；1950年起改归阳明镇管辖，1956年改名小溪镇。1962年曾归城管公社居民大队。1980年小溪镇重设，桥头与后巷两街合为一个居委会，初称桥头街居委会，1981年更名东大街居委会，2004年才改为东大社区居民委员会[1]。
