鼎寮村位于船场镇西北部，九龙江上游一带，属船场镇管辖的行政村。距镇政府约7公里，距县政府约29公里。[1]
地理与人口[edit]
村子东侧与笔峰村相接，西侧挨着赤坑村，南面连着张坑村，北面为星光村。据博雅地名网所载，村落面积2.8平方公里，现有1188人、283户，村民分居于埔坪、梧营、洞内、榕树坑四个自然村，分为11个村民小组。[1]
地名由来[edit]
清代曾有人在此搭寮铸锅，锅俗称「鼎」，村名由此而来。[1]
沿革[edit]
解放前此地居船南乡鼎寮保，解放后设鼎寮乡，乡政府驻埔坪村，属南靖县第七区。合作化后成立鼎寮高级社，1961年起称鼎寮大队，1984年改设鼎寮村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2002年及2003年，村子先后被县委评为文明单位。[1]
