地理与人口[edit]
村域面积4.9平方公里，博雅地名网载有730人、192户；村内5个自然村分作7个村民组。东与南坑镇的村中村相接，西南与世禄村交界，北连坑头村。[2]
地名由来[edit]
明朝天顺年间，郑、严等十八个姓氏先后到此建居，村名由此而来。[1]
沿革[edit]
早先为船南乡的月余保。解放后划入第七区，并入世禄乡。1954年成立共同高级社；1958年，随船场公社划为共同耕作区。1961年以十八家之名设大队，1984年转为村委会。[1]
建筑与名胜[edit]
村民的住房多为两层的土木结构房屋与瓦房。村中有德山公祠，以及严氏、魏氏两座祠堂，族人遇大年、清明、冬至等节令都回祠堂祭祖。[2]
村外约一公里处的石门路边，立有道光年间（1842年）的一块「告示牌」。村中的寨峰关圣帝君庙规模较大，香火不断。[2]
物产[edit]
村中山地逾6000亩，毛竹林占其中2000余亩，出产木材、毛竹与冬春笋。耕地约1200亩，另有柑桔、蜜柚、花卉等种植面积约1600亩。[2]
