下版寮村是书洋镇下辖的行政村，村名的来历是先人从永定迁来时先搭寮居住，村落位于河流下游，故称下版寮。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前，此地归梅江乡的长版寮保。解放后，本村划入第五区，并与上版寮合成寮乡。1958年公社化后设版寮大队，1961年分出下版寮大队，1984年改设下版寮村委会。[1]
人口民族[edit]
村民主要说客家话，兼通闽南话。[2]
文化[edit]
2016年12月，本村列入「第四批中国传统村落」名录；2020年12月，入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」。[1]
