下田治村是书洋镇下辖的行政村，村名取自下田治自然村，村民在其周边建房定居后形成村落。与上田治村同源，二者原为一个田治大队。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此前为书教乡书田保的一部分；解放后归南靖县第五区书江乡，叫做田治村。1958年公社化后成为田治耕作区，1961年体制下放，改设田治大队，1984年定名下田治村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，下田治村被评为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
