背岭村是南靖县梅林镇下辖的行政村，村名取自村后多山岭的地势。[1]
地名与地理[edit]
村后山林密布，村民出门须翻山越岭，周围有黄泥岭、石壁山岭、大佰公岭、崩溪岭等。村后一条石砌古道经大佰公岭通往永定苦竹一带。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期属保甲建制，解放后归乡管辖；公社化时期曾与邻村合为一个大队，1961年分出另设背岭大队，1984年改称村委会。[1]
