都美村是南靖县金山镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域西北部，依山临溪。全村海拔108至358米，现有2085人，650户，分布在10个村民小组。村中的都美大宗是明代的祠堂建筑，经多次翻修。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村子位于大草埔尾，原名埔尾，方言音变后改名都美，故名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

解放后为都美村，公社化后设大队，名都美大队；1984年，改为都美村委会。[2]

建筑与古迹[edit]

村中现留有明洪武初年始建的都美大宗，此外还有一座小宗，道光年间多次翻修。村中的白莲池观音佛祖庙于1980年重建，屋脊上有雕龙。[1]

卢氏祖庙报本堂于清咸丰年间重修，改木柱为石柱，1996年8月修葺一新。[1]

产业[edit]

村中水资源丰富，有一级、二级水电站两座，共装机容量1500千瓦。村中引进外资设有造纸厂4家、水泥厂一家及小型钢铁厂。此外种植柑桔和麻竹。[1]
