地名由来[edit]
古时村子在一座「后卷楼」土楼附近聚居，后取「卷」字的谐音命名为后眷，故名。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
解放后设后眷村，公社化时设后眷大队，1984年改为后眷村委会。[1][2]
抗战时期，后眷楼曾是龙溪中学所在地。[1]
村落与人口[edit]
村落面积15平方公里，全村现有1186人，357户。村中辖4个自然村，设5个村民小组。[1]
后眷楼[edit]
后眷楼由当地卢氏海商卢项出资建造，建于1787年（清乾隆五十二年），面积约3626平方米，属典型的清代砖木结构民居。大门门匾上刻有「岐峰拱秀」四字，边款为「乾隆丁未年」。[3]
楼的建筑分为三个区域，中间为公共区域，左右两区又各分为两个小院，合计四个住宅院落，中间另有一座中心厅堂院。楼内共九厅、108间房。[1][3]
产业[edit]
村中有五座水电站。村民种有香蕉、龙眼、荔枝和蕃石榴，并种植麻竹（笋）等林产品。[1]
