村子位于东山亭北侧，地多坑沟，起初叫北坑村，之后雅化为北星。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

公社化时设大队，原名北坑大队；1980年，大队改名北星；1984年起为北星村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2025年10月，村子被认定为漳州市2025年度市级「一村一品」专业村，产品为山茶油。[1]
