荆都村是南靖县金山镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域东部，在鹅仙洞风景区脚下，地处南靖与华安两县交界处。全村山地总面积8.7万亩，村民以吴姓为主，现有人口1628人。村境内有水电站9座，装机容量16.42万千瓦。[1][2]
地名由来[edit]
村民先人自庵后荆溪河畔迁来，起初称「都桂竹保」，后为纪念原居住地和现居住地，取名荆都。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
荆都村历史悠久，村内留有瓦窑坑、渡船头、东溪十八窑等古代陶瓷生产的地名和遗迹。据百度百科，村子在南宋时期因碗窑产业兴起，明朝时瓷器经月港外销，现存「碗窑坑」等窑址。[2][3]
解放前分上下窑两保，解放后设荆都乡；1958年公社化后称荆都大队，1984年，改设村委会。[2]
革命战争时期，红军游击队在村内上窑一带活动，村子因此被称为老区村。[1]
自然资源[edit]
村内林业资源丰富，永丰国有林场、东溪林场等机构分布村中，县林业局的麻竹场也设于此，森林蓄积量为14万立方米。[1]
村内的水电站有9座，装机容量16.42万千瓦，并有九龙江西区的一条支流贯穿全境。[1]

村子以卤柑、麻竹笋和蜜柚三大产业为经济支柱。[1]
