五川村是南靖县丰田镇下辖的行政村，原名五小村。建村时境内有五个自然村，村名由此而来。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初，它由五个自然村合并而成：过林、过田、过沟、下吴仔与下吴冯，居民称之为五小村。1958年划归国营农场，建设多了房屋后，旧名显得含义太小，1963年改名五川。1999年改为五川村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

村内的研学实践教育基地于2020年8月获评省级基地，名称为「福建省中小学研学实践教育基地」。[3]
