码头社区位于铜陵镇中心区北部，濒临海岸。社区取名的来历是北面的澳雅头港：该港为铜陵历史上最早形成的码头与港口，附近居民多靠捕鱼与海运谋生，于是称为码头街。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放后，东山于1950年5月获得解放，这里随之称码头街；1980年才设码头街道居委会，直到2001年11月方改组为码头社区居民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

社区内的铜陵天后宫始建于明洪武二十四年（1391年），清代曾经重修。[1]
