后崎村是东山县陈城镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域西南部，由西崎、后崎两个自然村组成，以种养业为主要经济基础。村域面积1.11平方公里，人口1008人，236户。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

西崎自然村由漳浦县屿头香山的陈姓人家开基。清代两村归诏安县五都岐下保管辖，民国时期则归东山县东南乡。[1]

西崎先后称陈城乡西崎村（1984年）与陈城镇西崎村（1993年）；1960年曾设西崎生产大队。后崎自然村另有60户230人，历史隶属与西崎相同。[1]

自然环境与经济[edit]

解放前沿海土质盐碱化，不宜种田，村民多靠运输与钓鱼为生。1958年，西港海堤竣工，此后往来不必摆渡，耕地随之扩大，作物以水稻、地瓜、花生为主。[1]

进入80年代中叶后，村中调整产业结构，开始发展水产养殖与芦笋种植。目前水产养殖面积800亩，耕地为420亩，另有山果林地250亩。其中鲍鱼养殖32家，牡蛎吊养500亩，芦笋150亩，虾池100亩，网箱2700箱。[1]
