高陈村隶属杏陈镇，位于镇的西北部，东邻前何村和后林村，北接磁窑村，南面与西面临海。全村有两个自然村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村子开祖于明代中期，由漳浦宅兜迁入。村中高、陈两姓人口较多，故称高陈。[1][2]

人口与经济[edit]

博雅地名网称全村385户、1600人，百度百科称426户、1675人，两者数字不同。村域总面积为1800亩，其中滩涂与虾池占600亩。村集体经济以滩涂出租为主，产业以水产养殖以及芦笋、水果种植为主。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清时此地属诏安县。民国时属东山县西北乡高陈保。1950年后划入第三区，1958年隶属杏陈公社，成为高陈大队；1984年大队改为村，属杏陈乡；1990年起属杏陈镇。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办将高陈村命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
