杏陈镇属福建省漳州市东山县，位于东山岛西北部。镇域东侧是樟塘镇，南侧为西埔镇；西侧与前楼镇、四都镇毗邻；北面隔一道界线即云霄县陈岱镇。镇政府设在前何村，全镇辖10个行政村。[1][2]
镇概况提到的历史遗迹有宋代磁窑和陈平渡，并称东山岛上的古渡口、古集市，杏陈名列其中。镇内以滩涂养殖为主，中华乌塘鳢、龙须菜、泥蚶等是本地的特色养殖品种。[3]
地名由来[edit]
清乾隆三十七年（1733年）设立杏陈圩，此后逐渐成为东山西北部农村的集市中心。据博雅地名网，早年这里的村子原名「王陈村」，居民多来自潮汕，当地人用潮汕口音把「王」念成「杏」，村名遂写作杏陈。镇政府设在杏陈圩，镇名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代此地属诏安县。东山县解放后，这里编入第三区。1958年东山县设立5个人民公社，杏陈是其中之一。[4][1]
据博雅地名网，1984年杏陈仍是一个乡，1990年改乡为镇；百度百科则称1984年即改设镇人民政府，两说年份不同，此处从博雅地名网。[1][2]
地理环境[edit]
镇域位于东山岛西北部。镇概况另记滩涂19540亩、盐田62080公亩，山地10996亩，耕地7665亩，森林覆盖率为27.4%。镇域面积各书所记不一：镇概况作33平方千米，博雅地名网作31平方千米，百度百科作38.38平方千米。[3][1][2]
国道324线、疏港公路等道路的入口处都在杏陈境内。[1]

据镇概况，全镇有7280户、2.86万人。全镇工业企业总数为23家，规模企业占10家。百度百科所记的2019年末户籍人口为27542人，博雅地名网另作约2.28万人，各数据的统计口径不同。[3][2][1]
镇内以滩涂养殖为主，中华乌塘鳢、龙须菜、泥蚶、鱼虾蟹等是主要品种。镇概况称杏陈是全县特色滩涂养殖的集中区之一。[3]
文化遗址[edit]
镇概况列出的历史文化遗址中，宋代磁窑与陈平渡较为突出。宋代古窑遗址位于磁窑村。[3][5]
荣誉[edit]
据博雅地名网，杏陈镇于2022年10月获认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」，2020年12月被命名为「福建省卫生乡镇」，2014年7月被确定为「全国重点镇」，2012年12月获得「2010—2011年度国家级生态乡镇」称号。[1]
镇概况另称，2013年杏陈镇综合考核排进全市前十，并获评漳州市十大「活力乡镇」，同时列有「国家级生态镇」等称号。[3]
