地名与沿革[edit]
明代中期，石坛村的王姓族人迁来建村。村前南端有龙潭山周围群山之水直泻入海，冲成一条大坑，村因坑北而得名。[1]
1952年为坑北乡；1958年起称坑北生产大队；1986年设坑北村委会。[1]
概况[edit]
