顶西村位于县城城区，是东山县城的组成村落，村内有石庙山。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

村庄起初建在庙山以西的一片荒地上，因而得名。清代村地属诏安县五都山后保，民国时称西顶保；1950年设第二区，辖三个自然村。1958年归西埔公社管辖，称顶西大队；1984年改为村。[1]

石庙山[edit]

石庙山位于村内，山上的明代石庙供奉三山国王与南海观音，东南亚华侨信奉者众。政府网站所称的石庙山公园即指此处。[2][3]

概况与荣誉[edit]

据博雅地名网，村占地1370.3亩，有333户、1246人。省农业农村厅于2022年10月认定顶西村为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1][2]
