红星乡在福建省漳州市诏安县中北部，是山区乡，距县城约26公里。乡境东北邻云霄县，北面与官陂镇接壤，西面连太平镇，东南方向是金星乡。[1]

乡境属丘陵与山区地带，乌山山脉在东北方向屏障乡境，农业以青梅种植为主。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代此地属第二都的梅林、龙墩二保及大布保的一部分，清末归第二都太平乡。民国十九年（1930年）划为第五区，民国二十九年（1940年）改隶第三区太平乡，民国三十四年（1945年）撤区并乡，并入景溪乡。[1]

新中国成立后，本地先归第五区，后改隶第七区与太平区。1958年撤销区建制，同年先设金溪、进水两乡，随即两乡合并，改办国营红星农场。1984年农场改制为乡，仍用农场之名，即如今的红星乡。[1]

地理环境[edit]

乡境北高南低，境内大小山峰约48座。东北的乌山主峰海拔1050.6米，山势陡峭。[1]

年平均气温在19℃以下，无霜期约305至330天，年降雨量在1800至2400毫米之间。乡内土壤富含硒元素，富硒土壤的高含量区面积为全省最大。诏安县于2013年获中国营养学会授予「中国海峡硒都」称号，红星乡是其中的核心区。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

2004年12月，国家批准乌山为国家森林公园，乌山位于红星乡境内。乌山北部的景区称大乌山景区，山上有大片梅林。[1][2]

乌山自1934年起成为革命根据地。东埔村北蔗自然村一带的「中共闽南地委机关旧址东埔乌山三角洞」，使用年代为1934年至1949年，以山洞为主，洞内外留存会议处、炊事房、藏兵洞、冲锋台，另有地委领导人住所。[1]

乡内另有金溪流域水利风景区，景区内水文资源丰富。下河作业区东北处的河劲节凌霜坊是清代建成的古建筑，于2016年6月28日列入「诏安县第十六批县级文物保护单位」。[1]

经济[edit]

红星乡以青梅为主要产业，博雅地名网将其列为「中国青梅之乡」的核心区之一。乡内特产以诏安红星青梅、诏安八仙茶较为突出。[1]
