水头村是诏安县建设乡下辖的行政村，位于乡政府驻地西南面，村中包括水头、水头山两个自然村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村委会驻地在水头自然村，村名由此而来。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村庄东面以建设橡胶厂为界，西面接搭桥，北面与建光社区相邻，南面连着围大坑山。村落依山坡临溪布置，平面呈长方形。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

自1950年起，水头先隶属第三区的村内乡，之后改属第六区，1955年至1956年间归西潭区的村内乡管辖。1958年9月并入建设农场，设水头作业区；1984年10月改为现名。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以橡胶为主要种植作物，兼种水稻、甘蔗、地瓜和茶果。[1]
