潭光村是福建省漳州市诏安县西潭镇下辖的行政村，因旧称「潭光保」而得名。村中含破寨一个自然村。[1]

概况[edit]

据博雅地名网，全村人口四千余人，编为26个村民小组，耕地2838亩，其中水田1415亩。村里以农业为主，种植水稻、青梅与芥菜。[1]

村中有一座容量12万立方米的村办水库，可灌溉120亩田地。中心完全小学设在村内，供潭光、潭东、新厝三村的学生就读。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初此地为第三区西潭乡下属的潭光保，1952年后归第六区，1955年划入西潭区。1958年起并入西潭大队，之后随幸福、红旗等公社变动，1961年分出为潭光大队，1984年改为西潭乡潭光村。[1]
