注湖村位于秀篆镇境内的山区，与石东村、乾东村、青龙山村相接。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村子四周环山，中间是一块盆地，状如湖泊，原称朱湖，客家话改称注湖。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年此地属第六区，次年归第七区埔坪乡，1952年至1954年归第九区埔坪乡，1956年改属官陂区。[1]
1958年划入和平人民公社，设注湖管理区；1964年为秀篆公社注湖大队。1984年起为秀篆乡注湖村，1992年起为秀篆镇注湖村。[1]
