乾东村位于秀篆镇东部，离镇区约10公里，东面与石东村接壤。[1]

地名由来[edit]

1958年成立大队时，取「乾霞」与「东坑尾」两处地名各一字为村名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年此地属第六区青山乡，1951年归第七区，1952年归第九区，1956年改属官陂区青山乡。[1]

1958年划入和平人民公社，设乾东管理区，1964年为秀篆公社乾东大队。1984年起为秀篆乡乾东村，1992年起为秀篆镇乾东村。[1]
