东径村是秀篆镇所辖的一个行政村，村名由两个自然村名各取一字组合而成。[1]
地名由来[edit]
东径之名取自东坑与径头两个自然村名中各一字。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年代初，此地原属堀龙乡，1954年分出东径乡，先后归第九区与秀篆区管辖。[1]
1958年成立和平人民公社下的东径管理区，次年改为秀篆公社的大队。1984年起为秀篆乡的村，1992年起为镇的村。[1]
