五通村位于霞葛镇东北部，村名取自村内的五通宫。村域东隔东溪与溪东村相望，南邻南陂村，北接官陂镇，西北与秀篆镇接壤。村内的五通宫始建于明代，是台湾多处五通宫的祖庙。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1954年4月起，该地先后隶属第六区五通乡、官陂乡和上游人民公社的五通生产大队。1987年6月，五通从官陂乡划出，设霞葛乡及其下属的五通村民委员会；1992年3月改属霞葛镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

据博雅地名网，全村面积28平方千米，耕地1355亩，山地2.46万亩。诏平线穿村而过，交通便利，村内有赤竹坪水库。[1][2]

村内共有16个自然村。其名称依次为陈坑、陈洋坑、深坵里、径口、埔林下、赤竹坪、马安石、坑背田、新楼仔、下涂、五涂、湖美、丰田洋、料在、马子崛与半头，村民以黄姓居多，另有涂姓。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

宫内挂有明代大学士黄道周所题的“正位居体”横匾。五通宫2009年11月被公布为福建省文物保护单位。[3]

台湾五十余座同名宫庙以五通宫为分灵祖庙。1986年和1988年，台湾黄姓人士先后来此寻根谒祖。此后两岸的五显大帝文化交流活动始于2012年，每年在宫里进行。[3]

五通黄氏大宗祠为清代建筑，2013年4月被公布为诏安县第十四批县级文物保护单位。[1]

每年农历九月廿八，村里举办五显大帝文化节。[2]
