太平镇位于福建省漳州市诏安县中西部，与广东省饶平县接壤；县城在东面约25公里，出省道路有四条。全镇辖19个行政村[1][3]，镇政府驻太平村。镇名取自驻地太平圩场。境内盛产青梅、柑桔、杨梅等水果，博雅地名网称之为诏安县的水果之乡。镇内的点灯山是主要景点，山上留有宋末元初抗元首领陈吊眼兄妹的遗迹。[1][2][4]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年太平镇一带归第五区管辖。1952年至1954年间这里属第七区，1955年6月设为太平区。1958年5月区建制撤销，元中、太平、大布三乡分立；同年9月三乡并入团结人民公社，1959年2月更名为太平人民公社。1984年10月改为太平乡，1992年起称太平镇，沿用至今。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

镇域处于诏安县的中西部，西侧与饶平相接，县城在其东面约25公里。通往外省的道路有四条。全镇面积150平方千米，耕地20872亩。[2]

人口民族[edit]

博雅地名网概况页给出全镇人口5.1万人，并称客家与闽南两个语系的比例是57与43，数字取自2012年前后。同一网站的数据页另记约4.24万人，未注年份，两者相差较大，本条目不取舍其一。[1][2]

经济[edit]

太平镇以水果种植和青梅加工为主。全镇水果种植规模为8.13万亩，其中青梅4万亩，平均每人0.77亩，另有种植50亩以上的大户25户（概况页数字，2012年前后）。[2]

镇内的太平走马工业小区建于2008年1月，规划面积1200多亩，是诏安县唯一的村级工业小区。工业以青梅加工、塑胶玩具和服装织造为主。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

点灯山位于镇境内，海拔894米，总面积9.12平方千米，属国家3A级旅游景区。据传山名来自当地人在夜里点灯守候陈吊眼兄妹的习俗。山间尚有古道、点将台与衣冠冢。[4][2]

镇内的清代古建筑中，科下沈福文故居在科下村，2013年4月17日列入「诏安县第十四批县级文物保护单位」；景坑水吼庵在景坑村，同批列入。走马徐氏家庙在走马村，2015年2月6日列入「诏安县第十五批县级文物保护单位」。后到妈祖庙在走马村的后到自然村，2016年6月28日列入「诏安县第十六批县级文物保护单位」；白叶峰山庵在白叶村的山下自然村，同批列入。[1][2]

著名人物[edit]

沈福文生于太平镇，是漆器艺术家和教育家，1979年出任四川美术学院院长。他的代表作《堆漆金鱼》曾在「第六届全国美展」中获奖，所著有《中国髹漆工艺美术简史》。科下沈福文故居即其旧居。[1][2][5]

陈吊眼是宋末元初的抗元首领，白叶峒人，即今白叶村所在一带的人，生卒年为1250年至1282年。[1]
