后林村位于县城西郊，距县城仅1公里。国道324线与二通道在村外绕过，交通便利。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初，村地属第二区公所，与新寨、双港合为双港乡。1956年由双港乡分出，并入港头乡。1959年11月划归深桥公社港头大队；1961年又归深桥公社，并入花墩村组成后林大队。1984年10月设深桥乡后林村，1992年起称深桥镇后林村。[1]

城镇化[edit]

随着县城向西扩展，村周围陆续建起多处商品住宅楼，村庄正逐步融入县城的城镇化进程。[1]
