水溪村地处深桥镇东北角，东北一侧接壤西潭乡，离县城南诏镇约5公里。村中约860人，200来户，是革命老区村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村部设在赤水溪自然村，取其简称「水溪」作村名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国后，村地先隶第三、第六区，与凤寮合组为凤溪乡。1959年2月编入红旗公社，同年11月改属深桥公社凤溪大队。1961年，村内单设赤水溪大队，隶深桥区深桥公社。1984年10月起称深桥乡赤水溪村，1992年2月以水溪村之名归入深桥镇。[1]

文物古迹[edit]

赤水溪碧溪祖祠为清代古建，2016年6月28日公布，列为第十六批县级文物保护单位。[1]
