含英村位于城铁路两侧，北与仙塘村为邻，南连东霞、西霞两村。全村1020户4430人，分27个村民组。[1]

村内以鱼苗等海水养殖为主要产业。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年代村地先后属含英乡，1958年设含英大队并入东方红人民公社，1961年改属含英公社。1964年撤区并社后，仍为桥东公社含英大队。[1]

1984年改为乡属村，1992年改为镇属村。[1]

文物与古迹[edit]

含英东城、西城古城堡分别在英井、英中两个自然村，建于明代，2016年6月列入「诏安县第十六批县级文物保护单位」。[1]

含英林仲安将军墓（蜈蚣墓）位于大坑内的河田山，年代为明，属古墓葬，2015年2月6日列入「诏安县第十五批县级文物保护单位」。[1]

姓氏[edit]

据维基百科，林惟福的子孙分居梅岭与含英两处，因而有「梅岭林」「含英林」之分。林仲安为林氏开诏的四世祖。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，村庄获命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」，命名单位为福建省爱卫办。[1]
