西浒村在国道324线以南，紧邻西沈村。村中670户、2695人，分为7个组。[1]

村落原在东溪边的低洼处，东溪筑堤之前一遇洪水便成一片水域。村名取原居地西门一带的「西」与「浒」二字。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

先民由南诏北门西巷迁到此处，聚落先称西浒。1961年另设西浒大队，归桥东人民公社管辖。1969年曾并入邻近大队，1970年重新独立。[1]

1984年改为乡属村，1992年改属镇。[1]

文物与古迹[edit]

西浒沈氏宗祠（追远堂）位于城内甲社，年代为明，属古建筑，2016年6月列入「诏安县第十六批县级文物保护单位」。[1]

西浒大夫家庙同在城内甲社，年代亦为明，属古建筑，与前者同批列入县级文物保护单位。[1]

荣誉[edit]

省政府在2016年5月的认定中，把西浒村列入「第五批福建省历史文化名镇名村」。[1][2]

2021年11月，村庄获命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」，命名单位为福建省爱卫办。[1]
