西山村位于桥东镇内，处在下宫线东侧，东面与林中村接壤，西面与下寮村相连。村中分上西山、下西山两个自然村，共6个村民组，325户1290人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村地早年属凤山区的乡，1950年代数次调整隶属，1958年设西山大队，归入东方红人民公社。[1]

1984年改为乡属村，1992年改称镇属村。[1]

经济[edit]

村民多外出打工，村集体经济比较薄弱。村内耕地约399亩，果园也有相当规模。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，村庄获命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」，命名单位为福建省爱卫办。[1]
