林中村位于桥东镇中部偏东，处在下宫线东侧，南面与牙头村衔接，北面与西山村相连。村内220户870人，分4个村民组。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村地先属石中乡，1956年划归凤山初级社，1958年并入东方红人民公社。[1]
1984年改为乡属村，1992年改称镇属村。[1]
经济[edit]
村民以外出打工为主，少数人从事运输服务，村级经济基础较为薄弱。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，村庄获命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」，命名单位是福建省爱卫办。2022年10月，经福建省农业农村厅认定，林中村列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2024年2月，村庄被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象。[1]
