牙头村是桥东镇的行政村，村名来自驻地所在的牙头自然村。村庄沿下宫线两侧展开，南面与梅岭相接，东面以林中村为邻。全村261户1112人，分为4个村民组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年代，村地数次改隶区乡，1958年归入东方红人民公社，设为牙头大队。[1]

1984年改为乡属村，1992年改称镇属村。[1]

经济[edit]

村民多从事农业和建筑行业，村内建筑队不少，外出务工的人也多。村集体则以虾池发包来增加收入。[1][2]
