桥东镇是福建省漳州市诏安县下辖的镇，坐落在县城东郊，东溪在镇域内流入大海。镇区隔东溪与南诏镇东关社区相望，地方上称它为诏安的“东大门”。全镇辖23个行政村，没有社区。[1][2][3]

镇域面积约108平方千米，海岸线长27千米，耕地约3.61万亩，山地约6.5万亩。渔业与农业是镇里的主要产业，镇区另有一条长约3公里的商住街道。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年代，今镇域的行政归属屡有变动：先设桥东区，又并入四都区，1958年撤区后分设数个乡，同年这些乡合并为东方红人民公社。1964年合为桥东公社。[1]

1984年改设桥东乡，1992年乡改为镇。区划地名网的沿革则写作1992年置桥东镇。[1][5]

地理环境[edit]

镇域依山傍海，西面临溪，东溪在此直流入海，海岸线长27千米。山地与耕地都占有相当比重。[2][4]

国道324线与沈海高速公路（G15）都从镇域过境，交通条件便利。[5]

人口[edit]

据区划地名网，镇域在2000年五普时常住人口为59122人；到2010年，常住人口的记录为62025人。[5]

2021年的新闻报道称全镇人口约6.75万人，报道未注明统计口径。[4]

经济[edit]

镇区的桥东商业街集商业与住宅于一体，街道全长约3公里。统计显示镇里有6家规模以上企业，另有7家限额贸易企业。[4]

桥园村的桥园市场属村级海产品批发市场，规模在全省居首，水产品交易是镇里经济的重要部分。市场经改造后按规范发包，为村集体增加了收入。[4][6]

农业以水稻、蔬菜和水产养殖为主。东西沈的韭菜、甲洲的鸡母埭大虾、仙塘的红蟳都获得过商标称号，其中甲洲鸡母埭大虾还获得国家地理标志证明商标。[1][4]

文化[edit]

镇内古迹包括广南庵和凤山报国寺，还有临江亭与太山妈庙。[4]

此外还有洋尾古桥、仙塘古城堡等史迹；金光明寺、金山寺则属现代宗教建筑。[4]

省里第五批公布的历史文化名村中，西沈、西浒两村在列。西浒村的认定时间为2016年5月。[4][7]

省级爱卫部门于2020年12月授予桥东镇「福建省卫生乡镇」称号。[1]

姓氏[edit]

据维基百科，镇内陈姓的一支在南宋时自泉州迁入，落居在今甲洲村一带的沙坂。[3]

明永乐年间，涂先化从漳浦迁来桥东，是仙塘村的开基始祖。林姓则分为梅岭林和含英林两支，两支都出自林惟福的后裔。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

西浒沈氏宗祠（追远堂）和西浒大夫家庙都在西浒村，年代为明，2016年列为县级文物保护单位。[7]

含英东城、西城古城堡在含英村，同样是明代遗存，也于2016年列为县级文物保护单位。[8]

欧荣禄大夫墓在仙塘村，属元代墓葬，2013年列为县级文物保护单位。[9]
