田中央村是梅岭镇下辖的行政村，位于镇政府驻地南部。村子东与下傅村相连，西侧是诏安通往宫口的县道，南面濒临诏安湾。全村只辖田中央一个自然村，村委会驻此。[1]
地名与历史沿革[edit]
村名取自驻地田中央自然村。民国时属梅中乡；解放后先属第一、第三区傅厝乡，其后，1956年改隶四都区傅厝乡。[1]
1958年划为东方红人民公社傅厝管理区，此后，1961年5月成为下河公社田中央大队，接着，1964年4月归桥东公社，其后，1978年1月复归下河公社，此后，1982年属梅岭公社。接着，1984年10月起由梅岭乡的田中央村委会管理，其后，1991年起称现名。[1]
自然环境与生计[edit]
村子地势平坦，为陈姓聚居的长方形村落。村民讲闽南话，分为4个村民小组，全村298户、1220人。耕地约676亩，山林约360亩，主种花生、地瓜、水稻与甘蔗。[1][2]
渔业有三排放笼船16艘，并有虾池近百亩、鲍鱼场3个与育苗场1个。村民还结合捞海贝壳与海上运输。村内设小学与医疗室各一所，通汽车，海上运输方便。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年2月，田中央村被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象。此后，2025年10月，村子获认定为「漳州市2025年度市级“一村一品”专业村」（大棚蔬菜）。[1]
