西张村位于东山高速公路林头出口附近，离出口约500米，村名取自驻地西张自然村。村子以渔业为主，海蛎养殖是主导产品。[1]

博雅地名网所载全村总人口2876人，党员110名，未注年份。村域耕地约1950亩，滩涂约3580亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前西张属梅林乡西张保。1950年归第四区西港乡，1955年夏改称第四区西张乡，至1956年5月仍如此；1958年9月并入太阳升人民公社，设西张管理区。1961年5月在林头公社之下设西张大队，隶四都区；1964年4月改由四都公社统辖，1984年11月定名为四都镇西张村。[1]
