人口与村情[edit]
博雅地名网所载全村945户、约3800人，未注年份；百度百科作3800余人。村域内耕地约2600亩，山地约8500亩，淡水养殖约1100亩。[1][3]
南面临海一带以淡水白对虾养殖为主，北面山地多种荔枝、龙眼、青梅、双华李和香蕉。博雅地名网称旅居海外和台湾的乡亲有六十多人。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前东峤分为峤远、峤光两保，划归奇湖镇。1950年成立东峤乡，隶属第四区；1958年起并入太阳升人民公社的东峤管理区。其后数年先后隶属上湖与四都两处公社，1984年11月改称四都镇东峤村。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内有三处古建筑被列为县级文物：东峤张氏宗祠建于清代，张式玉宅与张贞宅建于民国，三者都在2013年4月公布。[1][4]
自然与物产[edit]
村子依山面海，荔枝、龙眼、青梅、双华李等水果历来有名，远销国内外。[2]
荣誉称号[edit]
该村于2021年11月获省爱卫部门命名，称号为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
