历史沿革[edit]
民国时此地在东北镇的梅墩保管辖之下，编为七甲。中华人民共和国成立后隶属西潭区梅墩乡，1955年并入新凤乡。[1]
1958年取名梅峰社，纳入卫星人民公社。1960年成为梅峰生产大队，1980年归城关镇，1981年改属南诏镇，1984年10月定名为梅峰村。[1]
概况[edit]
博雅地名网记载村中有1181户、4865人，下设24个村民小组，年份未注明。[2]
村辖的自然村有秀才寮、普庵、玉墩头、龙兴楼、下梅塘、胡厝车与上梅塘等，另有渡头一带的两个生产小组。耕地以水稻为主，兼种荔枝、龙眼。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
玉墩头的良峰福德公妈庙位于良峰山北侧，建于清代，2016年6月被县里列为第十六批县级文物。[1]
梅峰普庵为清代建筑，位于虎庵自然村，2013年4月被县里列入第十四批县级文物。[1]
梅塘沈穆墓为元代墓葬，梅塘沈楸墓为宋代墓葬，二墓都在梅塘自然村一带的山麓，2016年6月被列入第十六批县级文物。[1]
