苏姓族人在大示溪边聚居立社，村因此得名苏溪。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地属过溪保。1958年属赤湖公社苏溪生产大队。1984年8月改为湖西畲族乡下辖的苏溪村，自命名起沿用至今。[1]
