山后村是湖西畲族乡下辖的行政村，于1985年4月自丰卿村分离设立，是乡内五个少数民族村之一。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1940年此地隶属湖西乡连山保，1944年转入卿莲保。解放初期归赤湖区第六区；1952年10月划为第十区（湖西区）前山乡的一部分。[1]

1958年9月起属赤湖公社湖西管理区的丰卿大队。1961年7月设湖西公社，1984年8月改称湖西畲族乡。1985年4月，山后自丰卿分离，单独设村。[1]
