湖西畲族乡位于福建省漳州市漳浦县中东部，地处闽南金三角一带，是福建省19个少数民族乡之一，也是畲汉聚居的侨乡。乡政府驻城内村，全乡辖10个行政村。[1][2]

乡内有赵家堡、诒安堡、蓝廷珍府第三处国家级重点文物保护单位，三者分布在约五华里长的中轴线上，俗称「五里三城」。[1][4][5]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，宋以前此处有一湖，称丹湖，又叫官塘。明末战乱之后，黄姓继赵姓迁入官塘，依当时黄姓的惯例把官塘改称湖西，境内又居住畲族，地名由此而来。[3] 宋代，境域属嘉宾乡常乐里。[2]

民国29年（1940年）设湖西乡。新中国成立后，此地先并入赤湖区（1949年），继而划为湖西区（1952年）。1958年起成为赤湖公社的管理区，1961年又设湖西公社。[3]

1984年的建制调整分两步：先改为乡，同年年底才定名为畲族乡。百度百科则把成立日期记为1984年9月28日。[2][3]

地理环境[edit]

乡境呈盆地，四面环山，赤湖溪在境内流经中游。[1][3] 乡境东与佛昙镇毗邻，南面有赤湖镇、深土镇，西面是赤土乡，北面与赤岭畲族乡及长桥镇接壤。[2]

县政府网站称全乡总面积为80.8平方公里；百度百科记作79.07平方千米，未注明年份，两者不一致。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

县政府网站称全乡人口约27500人，其中畲族近9000人。[1] 百度百科所载为2019年末户籍人口28060人，两处数字的统计口径不同。[2]

经济[edit]

农业以水稻、大葱和四季珍珠芭乐为主。[1]

四季珍珠芭乐入选「全国名特优新农产品名录」；丰卿村的鲜切花与枋林村的青椒入选市级「一村一品」。[1]

文化[edit]

畲族以「三月三」为节，当天家家户户都吃乌米饭；竹竿舞，以及蹴球、毽球、陀螺等竞技活动，都是乡内畲族的传统。[1]

2014年9月，湖西畲族乡被生态环境部命名为「国家级生态乡镇」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

赵家堡位于赵家城村，是南宋皇族闽冲郡王赵若和的后裔所建的古城堡，明代万历年间由赵范扩建，外城、内城与完璧楼的布局仿照北宋汴京，堡内有汴派桥。[5][10]

诒安堡位于城内村，清代由黄性震捐建，平面呈锁形，城墙周长1200米，墙上开有365个垛口，堡内现存95座民宅。[4][9][12]

蓝廷珍府第位于顶坛村，是清代福建水师提督蓝廷珍所建的府第，雍正五年（1727年）建成，府第前铺有由条石砌成的广场。[6][11]

赵家堡在1985年被公布为「福建省文物保护单位」，2001年升格为「第五批全国重点文物保护单位」；诒安堡于2001年列入同一批次；蓝廷珍府第在2001年成为省级重点文物保护单位，2013年3月又列入「第七批全国重点文物保护单位」。[4][5][6]

蓝鼎元墓位于乡政府前约100米处，墓为风字形，坐西向东，墓前立有一对石望柱。[8]

蓝理墓位于后溪村，建于清雍正五年（1727年），墓埕分三层，2009年列为「第七批福建省文物保护单位」。[7]

县政府网站称，自明至清的500余年间，乡境内留存文物古迹59处，内有国家级保护文物3处，涉台文物有9处。[1]

著名人物[edit]

县政府网站称，乡内历史上有四人官至正一品，分别是蓝廷珍、蓝元枚、黄性震和杨世懋。[1]

蓝理（1649～1720）在康熙年间随施琅出征台湾，因平台首功加左都督，官至福建陆路提督，从一品。[7]
