掷石村是漳浦县南浦乡下辖的行政村，与中西、美林、大坪、南浦、龙桥、兴巷、后坑、马苑等村相邻。村委会驻地在掷石自然村，村名由此而来。[1][2]

村所在的山坪上多碎石，伸手可取，故称掷石。村庄由中西林场代管。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年，掷石属北岭乡葛后保管辖；1953年北岭乡撤销，葛后保并入绥安镇的查岭乡。新中国初期，它归石榴区葛后乡管理。1965年划属葛后林场，同年葛后林场并入中西林场，此后一直由中西林场代管。[1]
