通坑村在盘陀镇东南，南面靠梁山，与盘陀村相接，西侧与官陂村相连，东面与大南坂农场梧陂村为邻。村名今称通坑，旧称汤坑，因村中温泉而得名。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

通坑原名汤坑。古时此处有温泉出水口，水温很高，名为汤坑；后因本地方言中“汤”与“通”音近，改称通坑。今以“通坑”为行政村名，“汤坑”则是村内的自然村名。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

通坑一带唐代已有记载。清代称汤坑保，民国时期划入杂岭保。解放初曾隶属盘陀乡；1958年盘陀公社设通坑大队，1984年改为通坑村，1992年2月归盘陀镇。[3]

村辖汤坑、庙埔、京尾三社，皆以蔡姓为主。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

卢维祯墓在庙埔社。卢维祯为明隆庆二年（1568年）进士，其夫妇合葬墓1984年遭盗掘，之后经县里文物部门清理，得出土的明代紫砂壶等器物百余件。[2]

此外村中另有朱琯墓、官府勘断山田摩崖石刻等古迹。[2]
